Our Approach

Addlestone One is a purpose-built development consisting of nine residential apartment blocks, with commercial units and a hotel. The residential blocks range from circa 11m to 18m in height, constructed with steel columns and precast concrete beams, the exterior walls were originally finished with brick, render, and Trespa Meteon high pressure laminate (HPL) panels with Kingspan K15 insulation.

The client specified that the cladding remediation works were to match the existing building aesthetics and dimensions as closely as possible. The scope of works included:

  • Removal of Trespa Meteon HPL panels and the Kingspan K15 insulation along with timber studs.

  • Installation of metal substrate to support cavity barrier insulation.

  • Installation of Siderise horizontal and vertical barriers.

  • Installation of window and vent trims.

  • Installation of Rockwool Duo Slab.

  • Installation of Coloured 7016 Rockpanel panels.

  • Installation of Everbuild 825 silicon.

  • Remediation of any internal or external damages.

Site Considerations

The works were undertaken at six of the buildings at the development, the nature of which posed a number of challenges.

The development was situated in a busy area and partially bounded by two public highways, Station Road (the B3121) to the north and Garfield Road to the south-east.

Additionally, part of the site (Newchapel House, Dunsfold House, and Brooklands House) wraps around the western, southern and eastern sides of Runnymede Borough Council’s Civic Centre.

Meanwhile, Warlingham House and New Wisley House are in close proximity to a parade of shops, restaurants, and a cinema. As such, the safety of residents and the general public was paramount throughout.

Project Completion

The works at Addlestone One were completed ahead of programme (by 6-7 weeks). The client, Runnymede Borough Council, were very happy with the timescales and impressed with the high standard of Lawtech’s workmanship.
